Up next: One Act Festival

DORSET — The Dorset Players will be presenting their annual One Act Festival on April 6 and 7 at 7:30 p.m., and April 8 at 2 p.m. at the Dorset Playhouse, 104 Cheney Road, Dorset.

This year's lineup includes six plays: "Clara's On The Curtains," directed by Elisabeth Hazelton; "Sandbox," directed by Dan Silver; "Nuclear School Day/1957" written and directed by Garry DuFour; "Clothesline," written and directed by Jean Yeager; "Suppressed Desires," directed by Trish Weisbrot; and "Raghead," directed by Richard Grip.

"Nuclear School Day/1957," set in Washington, D. C. and at Lake George, N.Y., Central School, features DuFour as a four-star general and Nikoline Norman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Norman of West Pawlet, playing DuFour in Miss Horn's fourth grade during an air raid drill in a "Twilight Zone" setting.

Produced by Lynne Worth, the evening is a mixture of comedy and drama with a cast of 23 actors.

The box office will be open Wednesday April 4 and April 5 from 3:30- 6:30 p.m., and for two hours before each performance.
