MANCHESTER — Members of the Taconic Music faculty will be joined by visiting violinist Carmit Zori in the third festival concert of Taconic Music's inaugural season at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 9 at Burr and Burton Academy's Riley Center for the Arts.

The program features two masterpieces of chamber music — the Brahms Trip for Piano and strings in C Major, op. 87, and Ernest Chausson's Concerto in D Major for Violin, Piano and String Quartet

The Brahms trio will be performed by faculty artists Jesse Mills (violin), Raman Ramakrishnan (cello), and Rieko Aizawa (piano), who perform together regularly as the Horszowski Trio.

In the second half of the concert, the trio will be joined by Zori and Taconic Music artistic directors Joana Genova, violin and Ariel Rudiakov, viola, for the Chausson concerto.

Zori will remain in Manchester to give a chamber music maste rclass from 3-5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11 at Birchbrook House, 70 Williams St. in Manchester.

Master classes allow the audience to experience firsthand how chamber music is refined and brought to a whole new level. Zori will work with student ensembles from Taconic's Chamber Music Intensive, offering insights on interpretation and style.
