Screening of 'Awake' to be held at Wilburton

MANCHESTER — Local environmental group Earth Matters is hosting a screening of the film "Awake: A Dream from Standing Rock" on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Wilburton Inn, on River Road in Manchester Village.

A discussion will follow led by Beverly Little Thunder, Lakota leader of Wabunowin Dawn Society. The Wabunowin Dawn Society is a nonprofit, multicultural Earth faith based organization dedicated to engaging the greater society of Turtle Island and N'dakina (Vermont) specifically, in supporting the advancement and recognition of local indigenous culture.
