Manchester Democrats, Republicans set caucus dates

MANCHESTER — The town's Democratic and Republican town committees will be caucusing this weekend.

The Manchester Town Committee of the Vermont Democratic Party will meet from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Israel Congregation, at 6025 Main St., for its biennial reorganization and election of officers.

Any registered Manchester voter who has not participated in the caucus of another political party is invited to attend, the town committee said in a release announcing the meeting.

The first meeting of the newly formed committee will immediately follow the election. Town committee office candidates include Kathleen James (chair), Alex Heintz (vice chair), Richard Long (secretary) and Frank Kropa (treasurer).

The town Republicans will be caucusing at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13 in the second floor meeting room at the Northshire Bookstore, town committee chairman Perry Green said.
