Letter: Great Shows at SVAC
To the Editor: Many thanks to the Ihasz family who have brought to SVAC and the Manchester and the Mountains community five stellar (dancing in the aisles, toe-tapping, finger-snapping, walk-down-memory-lane) concerts this summer, selected to entertain contemporary music lovers of all ages. Broadway and Lincoln Center came to Manchester: Cold Spring Harbor Band (Billy Joel's music and incredible saxophonist Richie Cannata) on June 24, O Sole Trio (Italian hits from Sinatra to Pavarotti) on July 15, and Married to Broadway (Les Miserables stars singing our favorite Broadway show tunes) on August 5. Bob Milne: Ragtime and Boogie-Woogie, a Library of Congress "National Treasure," returned to SVAC on August 19. Still to come is Philip Bauer: Legend of Johnny Cash, on August 26. Support these top-notch entertainers of today. Visit svac.org for tickets.
