Candlelight service planned

First Baptist Church of South Londonderry will be holding a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24. The church currently meets at the Londonderry Town Hall, which is located at 139 Middletown Rd. in South Londonderry. This family friendly service will include singing Christmas carols, reading about Jesus' birth, and listening to a meditation. At the end of the service, they have the tradition of sharing the light of Christ by giving candles out and sharing the flame with one another. Second Congregational Christmas service

The community is warmly invited to the Christmas Eve service, at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24 at the Second Congregational Church in Londonderry. The church is located at 2051 Vermont Route 11 in Londonderry.

Peru Church offers Christmas Eve service

The Peru Church Christmas Eve service is at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24. We highly recommend that you arrive by 5:30 p.m. if seating is a necessity. Our community choir will be directed by Dr. Roger Fox. Musicians include Daniel Timmermans on trumpet, Maya Drummond on violin, Garry Sharon on trumpet, Roger Fox on baritone horn and Judy Cyr on the organ. Soloist Marietta Formanek will perform the prelude. The sermon is entitled "How Did This Happen?"

Zion Church Christmas services

Zion Episcopal Church, Manchester Center, invites the community to a choice of five services, all of which include Holy Eucharist (Communion). At 5 p.m. Christmas Eve, Dec. 24th at Zion is the family service with Christmas Pageant, followed at 7 p.m. with a service at St. John's Chapel (Manchester Village), and back at Zion at 9 p.m. for the Candlelight Service with choir. Services will be held at Zion at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25th, Christmas Day. Northshire Baptist sets Christmas services

From 11 a.m. until noon, Sunday Dec. 25 (Christmas morning) the Worship Service at Northshire Baptist Church will be held. A Christmas Eve service, including a kids' pageant, will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24. Children's Church is provided for ages 2-6, except during Christmas Eve. Services set for Christmas Eve, Day

The community is invited to join us at the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert for the celebration of Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 24. There will be two services. The family service will begin at 4:30 pm. It will include soloist, Richard Grip; a Christmas story, a special time with the young as well as a congregational candle lighting. The Dorset Church Choir will be singing at the second service that will begin at 8 p.m. and will include Communion and congregational candle lighting. Al x Rasp will be playing several classical harp selections as we gather for the service.

At 10 a.m. on Christmas morning, Sunday, Dec. 25, we will hold a service of lessons and carols.

East Dorset Congregational service

On Christmas Eve, at 7 p.m. Dec. 24, the East Dorset Congregational Church will hold a service to celebrate the birth of Christ. This will be held in the church on Mad Tom Road in East Dorset. All interested members of the community are welcome. Please note that there will be no service on Sunday, Dec. 25.


Public menorah lighting December 26

Chabad-Lubavitch of Manchester invites all to the public menorah lighting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 26 in Adams Park. Join as Rabbi Andrusier lights the grand nine-foot menorah on the third eve of Chanukah (Hanukkah) and enjoy glow sticks and necklaces, chocolate gelt and popcorn for all!
