Earth Sky Time hosting concert

MANCHESTER — Earth Sky Time organic farm and bakery is hosting a Memorial Day tripleheader concert starting at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 28 rain or shine with three bands, organic wood-fired pizza from the farm's Bread Bus, and a cash bar.

The family friendly event will kick off with Blueberry Buckle, a gypsy jazz family band hailing from Pownal,. Their reinterpretations of classic rock hits feature Kate Byrne on electric violin, Savannah Byrne on drums and their father Tom on guitar and bass.

Moose Crossing from Poultney will take the stage next. Band leader Zach Hampton, who heads the music department at Maple Street School, will be joined by Tim "The Mayor" Duch, Johnny Reiter and Jack McChesney.

The Bulldog Alley Alley Cats, from Washington, D.C. are the headliner.

The Alley Cats are a six-piece funk fusion orchestra, playing an expansive catalog of originals and innovative, funk-heavy takes on jazz standards.

Their bass-driven rhythmic approach to ensemble playing echoes the interlocking sound of bands such as Snarky Puppy and Vulfpeck.

In the event of rain, the concert will be held inside the barn.

Wednesday, June 21: Summer Solstice party featuring Horse-Eyed Men and Arc Iris.

Sunday, July 16: Afternoon square dance at the farm with music from Hoot and Holler and calling by Rafe Wolman.

Sunday, July 23: Venezuelan band Betsayda Machado y Parranda El Clavo .
