Amtrak connection is subject of meeting

MANCHESTER — State transportation planners are looking for local input on a proposed bus service connecting Manchester to the Albany/Rensselaer, N.Y. Amtrak station.

The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the Kilburn Meeting Room at Town Hall.

Mark Anders, a regional planner from the Bennington County Regional Council, and Barbara Donovan and Scott Bascom of VTrans will be on hand to discuss issues including potential ridership, the number of runs per day, where the bus service would stop and whether it would be linked to Amtrak's reservation system.
