American Ballet Theatre to perform at SVAC

MANCHESTER — Southern Vermont Arts Center is hosting "An Evening of Dance with Members of the American Ballet Theatre and Friends" at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Arkell Pavilion.

The performance is produced by soloist and guest artist Anna Liceica and will bring some of the finest dancers and new choreography to SVAC.

The evening will include excerpts from ballets such as "Swan Lake," "Le Corsaire," "Giselle," "Les Sylphides" and "Raymonda." There will be new choreography of Satie's "Gnossiennes" and the original staging of "The Dance of the Hours" from La "Gioconda" will be customized for this performance.

Performers will include Sterling Baca, Gemma Bond, Vitali Krauchenka, Nayara Lopes, Daniel Mantei, Lauren Post, and Stephance Williams. The performers and pieces are subject to change.

Tickets can be purchased online at svac.org and by calling 802-362-1405. Online ticket sales will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11. On the day of the performance tickets can be purchased at the box office starting at 5:30 p.m.
